OUR FEES

Our Fees

Clear, transparent pricing based on hourly rates, the time spent on your matter, and the complexity of your case.

How we chargefor your matter

Our fees are based on the hourly rates of the fee earning staff working on your case and the time they spend on it. These rates are reviewed annually and depend on the seniority and experience of the fee earners.

We will provide an estimate of our charges and discuss any available options with you, typically confirmed in writing. Specialists may charge higher rates to reflect their expertise, and urgent work might incur an increased rate.

VAT at 20% is added unless otherwise specified.

HOW WE BILL

How we keep costsclear from the start

Every case is unique. We explain what is included, what is excluded, and when additional fees may apply — before we proceed.

Payment on account

We require a payment on account, held in your client account until we issue a bill. For ongoing cases, clients are billed monthly with a detailed account of the work done and the corresponding charges.

Fixed fees where we can

In some cases we can offer a fixed fee for straightforward work with predictable timelines. We will specify what is covered and excluded. If circumstances change significantly, any extra fees are discussed and agreed with you first.

Transparency throughout

We aim to give the best possible information on our fees at the beginning of your case, regularly throughout, and at its conclusion. Contact us to discuss your situation and receive detailed cost information.

Our fees are based on the hourly rates of the staff working on your case and the amount of time they spend. The exact costs depend on the individual circumstances of the matter. In straightforward cases we may offer fixed fees. When we provide a quote, we will clarify whether it is an estimate or a fixed fee. All rates exclude VAT at 20%.

  • Complete the probate application and relevant HMRC forms
  • Liaise with HMRC regarding any IHT due
  • Make the application to the Probate Registry on your behalf

As the executor or administrator, you will need to gather information from financial institutions for the probate application. • Missing assets
  • Any additional searches requested
